My long-standing question: Why is there only one Japanese-style room in many Japanese houses and apartments?...from an artistic perspective.

Is it for maintaining a traditional Japanese aesthetic, or does it serve a functional purpose? Personally, I think it would be better to have a consistent style throughout the house, either all Japanese or all Western. This is just my personal opinion.

Isn't it strange to have a Western-style building in a Japanese-style painting?.
